Start and extend client trials, and manage teams day to day from the portal.
Beyond provisioning, the partner portal is where you look after client teams over time —
chiefly by managing their trials.
Start a trial
When a client's team is ready to evaluate Kard, start a trial from the team's detail
page. This puts the team on a full-featured, time-limited trial so every member's card is
live and shareable while the client decides.
Extend a trial
Need to give a client more time? Extend the trial to push out its expiry date. Extending
before a trial lapses keeps the team's cards online continuously — there's no gap where
cards go offline to visitors.
What happens when a trial lapses
If a trial reaches its end date without being extended or converted, the team's cards go
offline to visitors until the subscription is active. Nothing is deleted — reactivating
brings everything straight back. A scheduled daily process handles expiring lapsed trials.
Managing a team day to day
From a team's detail page you can:
- review the team's members;
- invite additional owners or members (see
Inviting owners & members); - start or extend the team's trial.
A typical onboarding flow
- Create the team.
- Invite the owner and members.
- Start a trial so cards go live.
- Extend if the client needs more time, then convert to active.
